Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary: A Proud
Partnership of National Exchange Clubs
Honoring Our Nation’s Legacy
In Honor of America’s 250th Anniversary — Help Us Celebrate Freedom and Unity
In celebration of our nation’s semiquincentennial, the California/Nevada, Indiana, and New England Districts of The National Exchange Club are proud to join forces in presenting a powerful tribute to 250 years of American independence.
Through inspiring installations—such as the 250 Years of Independence Flag Field, Declaration of Independence banners, historic U.S. flag displays, Freedom Shrines, and Fields of Flags—we aim to bring communities together in honoring our shared heritage and the enduring promise of liberty.
Modeled after the revered Healing Field and Field of Honor programs, these patriotic displays serve as moving symbols of unity, remembrance, and pride. Whether enhancing an existing field or launching a new community tribute, Exchange Clubs have a unique opportunity to lead the way in celebrating our past and inspiring future generations.
We invite you to be part of this historic moment.
Your generous donation will directly support the creation and expansion of these meaningful displays across the country. Every contribution helps us share the story of America’s journey and the values we hold dear.
Let’s come together in 2026 to celebrate liberty, leadership, and the enduring spirit of Exchange.
All proceeds will be used to purchase Americanism 250 items for our respective clubs.

Meet Excalibur!
Excalibur the bald eagle is a powerful and patriotic symbol chosen to help lead the celebration of America’s 250th birthday—officially known as the Semiquincentennial, which will be commemorated on July 4, 2026. As the mascot of the Americanism 250 initiative, Excalibur embodies the spirit of freedom, resilience, and unity that defines the American story.
Who Is Excalibur?
Excalibur is not just any bald eagle—he’s a majestic representation of the nation’s enduring values. With his fierce gaze and proud stance, he reminds us of the journey America has taken over the past 250 years. From the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 to today, the bald eagle has stood as a symbol of strength and liberty. Excalibur’s presence in the America250 campaign is a tribute to that legacy.

Our Mission and Fundraising Goals

Honoring Unity Across America: 250 Flags at State Capitals
To celebrate the spirit of unity, remembrance, and civic pride, we are placing 250 American flags at each of our nation’s state capitals. These flags stand as powerful symbols of freedom, resilience, and the shared values that bind us together. Whether honoring veterans, first responders, or community heroes, this initiative invites reflection and gratitude in every corner of the country. Join us in recognizing the strength of our nation—one flag, one capital, one united people.
26 Historic Flag Set for 50 Clubs
At the heart of this display is a unique set of 26 flag kits, each representing one of the official U.S. flag designs that have flown over the course of 250 years of American history—from the original 13-star banner to today’s 50-star flag.
Each flag tells a story: of growth, of struggle, of unity. Together, they reflect the evolving identity of the United States and honor the generations who have shaped it. By showcasing these historic designs alongside a sea of modern flags, we invite communities to reflect on our shared past and recommit to a hopeful future.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a patriot, or someone who simply believes in the power of symbolism, this display is a reminder that every star and stripe carries meaning—and every flag placed is a gesture of remembrance, pride, and unity.

Give a Kid a Flag
Give a Kid a Flag to Wave is a patriotic initiative supported by the National Exchange Club as part of its Americanism Programs. Key Highlights:
- Promotes patriotism and appreciation for American freedoms.
- Often held during events like Memorial Day, Independence Day, and 9/11 commemorations.
- Exchange Club members hand out flags to children, veterans, and families, encouraging a sense of unity and civic pride.
- The program is easy to implement and widely embraced by local clubs across the country.
It’s a heartfelt way to connect with the community and pass on the values of freedom and national pride to the next generation.
